30-Minute Discovery Meeting

We listen first. You describe your project — scope, timeline, team, and what's already been decided. We ask the questions that reveal where lighting coordination risk lives. At the end of this meeting, we both know whether there's a fit.

Custom Proposal

If there's a mutual match, we deliver a written proposal specific to your project scope and goals. Scope of services, deliverables, timeline, and a fixed fee — stated clearly. No ambiguity. No hourly surprises on standard engagements.

Step 03

Signed Design Agreement

Engagement begins only after the proposal is accepted and a signed design agreement is in place. All work — photometric modeling, specification, submittal review, commissioning — is governed by that agreement. Nothing starts on a handshake.

    Honest assessment — if we're not the right resource, we'll say so and point you toward one that is.
After the meeting

What a proposal covers.

Your custom proposal includes:

Defined scope of services — exactly what Illumify delivers and what falls outside the engagement.
Specific deliverables — photometric models, fixture schedules, control documentation, site observations, commissioning.
Fixed fee — stated clearly. No hourly ambiguity on standard project scopes.
Project timeline — phased to your construction schedule and decision milestones.
Payment terms — 50% to initiate, 50% at initial design delivery. No billing surprises.

Illumify is led by Jared Jin, P.E., LC — the only independent lighting design principal in the Atlanta market holding both a Professional Engineer license and the Lighting Certified credential simultaneously. Member of IALD, which requires demonstrated independence from manufacturer commissions as a condition of membership. Fee is paid directly by the client. No manufacturer commissions. No rep agency affiliation. Every specification is vendor-agnostic — you procure through any source you choose.
